Peel Forest Estate Stag Shed Kitset |
In 2022 Advanced Dairy Barns were approached to build a shed to winter 1000 plus velveting stags for Peel Forest Estate for use in the 2023 winter. Being fully committed labour wise we had to decline the build but did offer to supply all materials in kitset form ready to bolt together on site. Our quote was the best of 4 obtained by the client so we designed the 50m x 122.4m building and went about sourcing all materials. Again this shed used an H Beam rafter and external columns and was fully hot dip galvanised.
Advanced Dairy Barns supplied all plans and producer statements ready to apply for a building consent, along with structural steel, bracing, bolts, purlins and roofing iron.
The client employed a local builder and engineer to erect the building and fit the roof and end walls.
In addition Advanced Dairy Barns Ltd designed feed gates and pen dividers to allow 12 individual deer pens all with interconnecting gates and feed gates to allow feeding from the central feed lane.
After the first winter of use the farm manager was thrilled with how well the stags had taken to the complex and is now extending it to milk Hinds from the same facility.
